Editorial Standards
How our content is produced and reviewed, what our scores do and do not mean, and where our coverage is still incomplete.

Where tool information comes from
Every tool entry starts from primary sources: the vendor's own documentation, pricing page, changelog and API reference. Pricing models, plan limits, integration counts and licence terms are recorded from those sources rather than copied from other comparison sites.
We pay particular attention to billing mechanics, because that is where readers are most often caught out and where second-hand summaries are least reliable. Whether a platform charges per task, per operation or per execution changes the real cost of the same automation by an order of magnitude, and it is the kind of detail that gets flattened in most listings.
How complete our coverage actually is
Our catalogue is larger than our written coverage, and we would rather state that than imply otherwise. Most tools currently have a short summary. A growing subset has a full written guide covering what the tool is genuinely good at, where it stops being the right choice, and the limits that bite in practice.
A short entry means we have not written the guide yet. It is not a verdict on the tool, and it does not mean the tool is worse than one with more words next to it.
What our scores mean — and what they do not
FlowSpotter has not collected any user reviews. There are none behind any score on this site. Earlier versions of these pages displayed review counts that had no reviews behind them, and described rankings as being based on “verified user ratings”. Both were wrong. The counts have been removed, the structured data we send to search engines no longer contains an aggregate rating, and tool pages now read “Not yet rated”.
Shortlist ordering currently comes from a provisional internal score assigned when the catalogue was built. We are replacing it with a documented, testable methodology, and we will publish that methodology here before describing any list on this site as rated or reviewed. Until then, treat the order of a shortlist as a starting point for your own comparison, not a verdict.
AI use, and who is accountable
Articles on this site are AI-assisted: drafted with a language model, working from the primary sources described above. Posts carry a note saying so. We do not present AI-written material under a human byline, and we do not invent author credentials to make content look more authoritative than it is.
The honest limitation: these articles have not yet been reviewed and signed off by a named expert. That is the next thing we intend to fix, and when it is fixed the byline will name a real person with real credentials and this paragraph will say so.
FlowSpotter is accountable for everything published here regardless of how it was drafted. If something is wrong, it is our error to correct.
Independence and how we make money
Some outbound links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through one. It costs you nothing extra and the price is the same as going direct.
No vendor can pay to be ranked higher, to be included, or to change what we write. We are not owned by or affiliated with any tool vendor on this site.
Corrections
Pricing, plan limits and feature sets in this category change constantly, and some of what is published here will be out of date before we notice. If you find something wrong, tell us through our contact page and we will correct the page.
Where a correction changes the substance of a recommendation, we change the page rather than quietly leaving the old claim in place.
